Perhaps the most powerful Clan in the north-east of Scotland with influence in many other areas. Huntly Castle was the famous stronghold of this Highland Clan and Gordons throughout history have made their mark in many ways, paying the price in blood. Many of their Clan Chiefs have died in battle through which the Clan has acquired a noble warrior reputation rivaling any other. Several titled families have sprung from this stock and the Chief is The Marquis of Huntly.
